NTP'S FUEL SURCHARGE
Oil prices have increased significantly in the past year and a half as a result of global economic issues. In response to the rising fuel costs, NTP revised its fleet fuel surcharge. Please click here to view the fuel surcharge worksheet. This worksheet displays the current surcharge based on the National Average Fuel Index generated by US Department of Energy.
NTP Distribution uses an index-based surcharge that is adjusted minimally twice a month and in some cases of rapidly declining or increasing fuel costs, this may be altered weekly. The Fuel Surcharge is based on Diesel Fuel Prices reported by the U.S. Department of Energy. Due to highly volatile market conditions and short term spikes in pricing, the fuel surcharge will correspond to the time period that is two months prior to the adjustment. For example, the surcharge for November 3rd is based on the cost as of September 3rd, 2008.
